About the Olympiad

The Pythagoras Maths Charity invites children aged 5−13 to take part in our free online Maths Olympiad, running April 27 − May 10.

This will be our eighth Olympiad, and we’re excited to welcome young maths fans once again!

Get ready to solve exciting maths puzzles, follow a fun story, and receive a bright certificate when you’re done.

Participants can look forward to an exciting storyline!

The AI Brainbot seems to have grown tired and decided to go on holiday. Instead of solving problems, it now sends jokes; instead of searching for information, it shares photos of cats — and sometimes even asks for advice.

Pif the Fox, Grandfather Pythagoras and Tezi the Parrot are already trying to sort things out, but they can’t manage without your help! Only by completing all the modules and bringing order back to Brainbot mind can you get it working properly again.

Help fix the AI!
You will submit your answers to each problem online via our website. A link will be sent to all registered participants.

We recommend using a laptop, desktop computer or tablet to complete the tasks — this helps children fully immerse themselves in the engaging world of maths.

After completing the Olympiad, you will receive a personalised certificate, your results and full solutions. Good luck!
