About the Olympiad

Pythagoras Trousers Online Maths School invites preschool children and pupils in Years 1−7 to take part in our free online Maths Olympiad, running from 5 to 18 October inclusive

This is the 9th time we’ve held our colourful Maths Olympiad!

You can look forward to challenging problems created by our team of teachers from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University, a fun story featuring our characters, and colourful certificates for everyone who completes the Olympiad

This time, every maths challenge leads to the stars

The Little Prince sets off on a new journey across the universe. Along the way, he meets Pif the Fox, Grandpa Pythagoras and Tezi the Parrot.

Together, they will visit five extraordinary planets, take on a series of maths challenges and collect five stars. The stars will form a Starry Path — but where it leads will remain a mystery until the very end.

And then the Little Prince will understand why, among thousands of stars and thousands of roses, there is one special Rose he longs to return to more than anything.
You will submit your answers to each problem online via our website. A link will be sent to all registered participants.

We recommend using a laptop, desktop computer or tablet to complete the tasks — this helps children fully immerse themselves in the engaging world of maths.

After completing the Olympiad, you will receive a personalised certificate, your results and full solutions. Good luck!
